A Mother's Day Message for the Real, the Raw, and the Resilient.
You Dont Have to Be Perfect to be Powerful, mom

Hi there
With Mother’s Day around the corner, I want to take a moment to say something that doesn’t get said enough:
It’s okay if you’re not feeling super celebratory.
Motherhood is beautiful. But let’s be honest—it’s also hard. There’s love, yes. But there’s also stress, worry, anxiety… and an overwhelming pressure to keep it all together.
This week, I’ve spoken to so many moms who are holding it down for their families while silently carrying the weight of mental exhaustion. They’re showing up for everyone else, but feeling like they’re unraveling inside.
If that’s you, I see you.
If Mother’s Day brings up complicated emotions—grief, guilt, burnout, or just the longing for a break—you’re not alone.
Here’s what I want you to know:
You don’t have to smile through everything.
You don’t have to earn rest.
You’re not a bad mom for needing support or space.
You are doing more than enough. Even on your hardest days.
This Mother’s Day, I invite you to pause, breathe, and receive the love and care you so freely give to others.
Take what you need. Leave the pressure. And know that you’re not alone in this journey.

Book I Keep Coming Back To:
Self-Compassion by Dr. Kristin Neff
If there’s one book I recommend to nearly every mom I work with, it’s this one.
Dr. Neff explains how to treat yourself like someone you love—not just in your best moments but also in the ones when you feel like you’re falling short.
This book contains wisdom, research, and practical tools that can truly shift how you speak to yourself.
You don’t have to be perfect to be powerful. You just have to keep showing up—with love.
